Overview
For my final motion-based project, I decided to animate an opening sequence for Studio Gek using their logo as the primary element. I incorporated a few of their highlighted moments as the backdrop, the famous Cannon slam reaction and the Gek Jam. Studio Gek is a group of guys that react to shows on YouTube.

Creative Brief
What are the project requirements?
Create a motion based project on a subject of your choosing and use Adobe After Effects to animate it. Must include audio with your animation.
What will it be and what is the objective?
My motion based final project will be a logo stinger or animation for a reaction channel on YouTube. The intent is that it would serve as an opener for their videos.
What materials or resources are needed?
An image of their logo which I will have to turn into a vector for the animation. To add more of a personal touch, I’m going to use a few of their clips as the backdrop.

What is the overall idea?
To capture the essence of Studio Gek and their logo while also visually engaging viewers. Given their round logo design that creatively spells out its name in 3 letters, I envisioned a dynamic animation that would be memorable and enhance brand recognition. To achieve this, I decided on a trace logo animation concept where the logo would appear on screen through a combination of tracing, wiping, and motion.
Logo Trace
Trace the logo a few times.
Wipe and Color
Use the wipe effect to color in the logo.
Their name, Studio Gek, slides in.
